Coaching Agreement

This Coaching Agreement (“Agreement”) is made by and between you and Phil Cohen, LLC aka The Grief Guy for the coaching services described below. By booking a session with Phil Cohen, LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Agreement.
1. Coaching Services
Phil Cohen, LLC offers a variety of coaching services, including one-on-one coaching, group programs, workshops, written content, and other products, materials, and resources (“Services”) intended to support individuals navigating grief and life transitions. Coaching is a collaborative, non-directive process that emphasizes personal responsibility and self-awareness.
There are no guarantees on the results. Coaching is inherently subjective and depends on your effort, context, and willingness to engage with the process.
2. Coaching, Not Therapy
This is not therapy, counseling, psychiatry, or any form of licensed mental health care.
Phil Cohen is not a licensed therapist or medical provider, and none of the offered Services is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical or mental health condition. The Services are designed to provide emotional support, insight, and space for reflection, not clinical advice or crisis intervention.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or need medical care, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services in your area.
3. Fees, Payment and Cancellations
Coaching with Phil Cohen, LLC are offered at the following rates:
Single Session – $150
55-minute 1:1 session
Perfect if you want a space to process, reflect, and gain clarity without a long-term commitment.
3-Session Bundle – $348 (save $102)
Three 55-minute sessions
Gives us time to go deeper over a few weeks and work through specific goals or stuck points.
6-Session Package – $596 (save $304)
Six 55-minute sessions
Ideal for building momentum and integrating tools to support emotional healing and personal growth.
Once Services have been finalized, applicable fees will apply. Payment is made via PayPal? and required at the time of booking, unless otherwise arranged in writing. Service fees are non-refundable and non-cancellable.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
Phil Cohen, LLC reserves the right to reschedule sessions or decline Service at its discretion.
4. Privacy and Confidentiality
Phil Cohen, LLC respects the privacy and confidentiality of the communications with the individuals being coached. See Phil Cohen, LLC’s Privacy Policy for more details on how we protect your information.
At no time will Phil Cohen, LLC voluntarily divulge the coaching relationship between themselves and you, information shared by you in the Services, or other private details of your coaching sessions, without your written permission, unless required to do so by law.
The Services provided by Phil Cohen, LLC are generally conducted by video conference or telephone and may be recorded. Your information, including any recordings, will only be used for the purposes of providing the Services unless expressly authorized by you in writing or as otherwise set forth in the Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to be recorded, please indicate that at the beginning of the session.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all Services, including content and offerings are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express or implied. This includes, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Phil Cohen, LLC makes no guarantees about the completeness, reliability, or effectiveness of the information or Services offered. Use of the Services is at your sole risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Phil Cohen, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to emotional distress, lost profits, personal injury, or loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or Services. Phil Cohen, LLC’s total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services in question. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain types of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
7. Termination of Services
Either Party may terminate the Services immediately upon notice. Termination of the Services will not relieve you of any obligations to pay fees due to Phil Cohen, LLC.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
9. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Phil Cohen, LLC as to the provision of Services and shall not be modified without the express written authorization of both parties.
